Obituary

Peacefully in hospital in Montreal on Wednesday, June 28th 2006, in her 35th year. Caia Miller, beloved daughter of June and the late David Miller, dearest sister of Sean, was predeceased by her grandparents George and Constance Miller and Ed and Sara Laushway. Caia's life was enriched by the correspondence she enjoyed with four generations of her extended family.

Caia was a systems engineering graduate from the University of Waterloo and, more recently, was pursuing studies in demography at the University of Montreal. She was a young woman of courage, wit, compassion and grace, who will be sadly missed by her family and by her many friends.

Her family would like to thank Doctors Marleau and Nutini and everyone who looked after Caia at the Hopital St-Luc in Montreal for their outstanding care and affection. In addition, we will be forever grateful to the donor family, whose generosity gave us ten more years with our darling girl.

Friends may visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road at Aviation Parkway on Friday, June 30th from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, July 1st from 10 a.m. until service time in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Memorial donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Leukemia Lymphoma Society would be appreciated.
